1. Nail Spa Gift Certificate- She will enjoy all the pampering she will receive. A fresh manicure and pedicure are also the perfect gift because many times, getting her nails done would be the last thing in her mind.
2. Pregnancy Massage Certificate- Find a local Day Spa that offers this service. They specialize in soothing away body aches and stresses of a pregnancy.
3. Maternity Clothing Store Gift Card- Maternity clothes can be expensive and she’s going to use it only for a little time. You can help out an expectant mother by giving her the option to purchase clothes that she can feel good in during the pregnancy.
4. Goodie Package- Find out what she’s craving. Fill it with cookies, candies, pretzels, or anything that she’s been craving for. Her partner will appreciate it too.
5. Scrapbook Kit or Baby Book- If the mom-to-be is crafty, you can provide her with the materials or a kit to scrapbook her little newborn’s special moments. If she’s not into that, just get a pre-made baby book that would only require her to add photographs and little journaling.
6. Parenting Magazine Subscription- This is helpful in keeping the mom to be updated with issues about pregnancy, parenting, product reviews, etc.
7. A new hobby- As soon as the baby is born, the new mom will have less time to do things that she’s always wanted to do. Enroll her in a class (or attend a class with her) that she might have always had an interest on, but have never gone around into doing. For example; knitting, baking, cake decorating, scrapbooking, etc.
8. DVD collection of her favorite shows- She’ll love being able to just sit back and watch her favorite shows whenever she want to.

1. Use the Baby Registry. The parents already have an idea of what they want, so you might as well put that into consideration in your gift giving.

2. Diapering supplies like diapers, wipes, changing pads or diaper creams. A parent can never have too many diapers and supplies.

3. Bathing supplies like towels, baby wash, washcloth and even bath toys. Make sure you pick hypoallergenic products and 100% cotton materials for fabrics.

4. Mommy books like “What to Expect when you’re expecting”. They will help the mommy through the pregnancy and even up to the first year of being a mommy.

5. Classical baby Cd’s and child development DVDs. These will help the baby to be alert and be stimulated mentally.

6. Board books and storybooks for baby. This will help the mommy bond with her baby as she reads to him/her every night =)

7. First Aid Kit. Its important to be ready, especially since things always happen when you least expect them to.

8. Child rear view mirror for the car. This comes in really handy while driving in the car, so you don’t have to worry about not seeing your child if you’re the one driving.

9. Gift Cards to local grocery stores. These will be very helpful when the parents realize that they just used up their last can of formula or last bag of diapers.
